Thank you very much, I faced similar problem with uTorrent. A file named helper.exe is running along with uTorrent and consumes a lot data which can be seen under resource monitor. try a lot method to remove helper.exe from uTorrent but nothing works. Even some antivirus removed properly helper.exe but when you starts uTorrent the helper.exe (size approx 4.2mb) downloaded first and runs in background. This process helps me. I simply open a notepad and save it as all file named helper.exe, set properties to read only and replace in helper folder of uTorrent. Thank you.

En mi caso fueron cuatro carpetas. En tres pude sustituir el archivo, pero en la ultima solicita permisos de administrador. ¿Que tendria que hacer ahi?

Hey guys, if you see more than two folders in the 'updates' then delete all older versions and keep the latest version folder and application, then continue on with the video.

I was looking all night long because I felt like my PC was acting weird, utorrent was crashing every hour or so, so I started cleansing, ended up doing a full scan in windows defender (After many tries with Malwarebytes) which took about 4 hours. Then I finally did a System Restore, and when all was done I saw that utorrentie is still up, I had a bit of problems with the name "webhelper" and surfing the web for an answer only served to fuel my paranoia that I was hacked or something lol. I just wanted to get the process off from the task bar, but then I found you, and you helped not only fix the problem, but also remove the ads from uTorrent!!

Followed every step, doesn't work. Text file still appears as text file instead of .exe
